August 2020

[edit]
  1. Snobette nominated at AfD; notified Jujucabana (talk · contribs) 17:43, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Completely WP:REFBOMBed and any reliable source is at best a passing mention.
  2. Andy Brown (politician) nominated at AfD; notified Cladeal832 (talk · contribs) 21:04, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NPOL as a candidate for county judge and fails WP:GNG as the subject is not notable outside of his current campaign. References include Facebook and FamilySearch results.
  3. Kojo Asamoa-Caesar nominated at AfD; notified Ml4lyfe (talk · contribs) 18:30, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NPOL as an unelected candidate and is not independently notable outside of his campaign
  4. Jim Callahan (American football) nominated at AfD; notified Mntneerjay (talk · contribs) 22:59, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NGRIDIRON and has not received coverage outside of transaction or game recaps. Clearly either an WP:AUTOBIO or was created by family/friends

February 2021

[edit]
  1. Template:Notre Dame Fighting Irish captains navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Murphanian777 (talk · contribs) 21:52, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
  2. Minim football teams of the University of Notre Dame: nominated at AfD; notified Murphanian777 (talk · contribs) 21:39, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article about the football team for a grade school on Notre Dame's campus. All sourcing is either from Notre Dame's student newspaper or hyperlocal game write ups. Nothing more than WP:FANCRUFT. It's possible that a short write up could be added to History of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, but not a full article.
  3. Bouloussou Satyanarayanamourty: nominated at AfD; notified Bsskchaitanya (talk · contribs) 16:21, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails both WP:GNG and WP:NPOL and appears to have been written by a relative. The Sources are 1) a non-specific citing of land records by the regional government; 2) the Proceedings of the Indian Science Congress (1952), which is in relation to his brother (Bulusu Jaganadha Sastry) being a member of the Indian Science Congress and even that is just listing him as a member; 3) is his grandson's (and apparently the author of this article's) Mahindra University faculty profile; and 4) a non-specific citing of the subject's death certificate

[edit]
  1. Bouloussou family: nominated at AfD; notified Bsskchaitanya (talk · contribs) 22:27, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable political family. The patriarch, Bouloussou Soubramanion Sastroulou, might meet notability standards but notability is WP:NOTINHERITED. None of the sourcing appears to be about the actual family the sourcing that is not about the previously mentioned Bouloussou Soubramanion Sastroulou are either membership lists, government surveys, or the papers written by the "Fourth Generation" member, who happens to be the person who wrote this article. I had previously tried to draftify the article, but was unsuccessful.
  2. Template:Notre Dame Non-Varsity football navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Murphanian777 (talk · contribs) 16:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This navbox is currently not in use and I highly doubt that it will ever be given that it is for intramural and JV/Freshman football at Notre Dame

September 2021

[edit]
  1. John McClure (pilot): nominated at AfD; notified Bluecountrymutt (talk · contribs) 21:57, 21 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG not one reference is from an RS or not primary. References are: 1) a pilot roster; 2 & 3) photographs; 4) the subject's wife's obituary in the local newspaper; 5) what appears to be a self-written family history by the subject's nephew on a local community organization's website; and 6) a listing of members of the Tuskegee Airmen from the greater Indianapolis area.

December 2021

[edit]
  1. Irina Konstantinova (blogger): nominated at AfD; notified Олег Черкасский (talk · contribs) 16:27, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG, likely WP:PROMO article referenced by PR pieces, paid press (the dead giveaway is most photos are credited to Press Service), non-independent profile sites, and self-works. Several simply name the subject as being one of dozens of event attendees.

  1. Bernie Dexter: nominated at AfD; notified 202.137.212.89 (talk · contribs) 00:06, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

April 2022

[edit]
  1. Sean Nava: nominated at AfD; notified Illegitimate Barrister (talk · contribs) 17:28, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD. The subject fails WP:GNG and is a case of is a possible case of WP:NOTMEMORIAL. Many refs are non-WP:RS and all RS coverage is from local media about the subjects death and the criminal proceedings for the drunk driver that killed Nava

  1. Template:Alabama A&M Bulldogs quarterback navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk · contribs) 03:24, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Given that only one entry has an article and therefore there aren't any other articles to navigate to
  2. Template:Alcorn State Braves quarterback navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk · contribs) 04:03, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

  6. Template:Auxilium Torino current roster: nominated at TfD; notified 20WashingtonPaul (talk · contribs) 11:39, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The team dissolved in 2019, so there won't ever be a "current roster" again

October 2023

[edit]
  1. Josh Byerly: nominated at AfD; notified Aggieguy1977 (talk · contribs) 02:03, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG and is a run-of-the-mill spokesperson for a government agency. All but two of the references are either by NASA (Byerly's employer) or by Texas A&M (his alma mater), which would not be independent. Of the other two, one is a deadlink but appears to be about a NASA program and not focused on Byerly and the other is a hyper local blogspot post about Byerly speaking at a local library. This article appears to have been created and maintained by mostly single-purpose accounts that likely have a WP:COI, one of which deleted said COI concerns from the article talk page.

May 2024

[edit]
  1. WFL All-Time Team: nominated at AfD; notified McDanny74 (talk · contribs) 12:27, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is not an official or recognized team (although that would likely be impossible given the league folded in 1975) that was created by "fans of the WFL". After looking through the sources, it's likely that the "fans" were the 2 authors of the World Football League Encyclopedia, which appears to have a limited circulation at best and is not independent. The rest of the references are either individual team media guides that likely have zero mention of the team because they were published before the league folded or self-published sites. The previous AfD in 2009 was editors voting "weak keep" and acknowledging the referencing was bad, but because there were references provided (which is clearly not a valid rationale to keep under today's notability standards. Best, GPL93 (talk) 12:27, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

August 2024

[edit]
  1. Edward Henry Burke Cooper: nominated at AfD 04:31, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: All referencing appears to be from Oxford, UK-specific remembrance group publications. Cooper served honorably, and died, for an incredibly honorable cause but Wikipedia is not a memorial.
  2. Edward Hardin: nominated at AfD; notified Emx620 (talk · contribs) 19:06, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Created by an SPA back in 2008. The only references are links to a patent (the same one, but one is the US patent filing and the other is the Canadian filing) that Hardin and others filed jointly. It also doesn't appear that Hardin was the sole VP of manufacturing in the US for Mobil, which was the reasoning years ago for a declined PROD, but the manufacturing VP for a refinery in Beaumont, Texas. A search for more refs pulls up no reliable sources to support notability.

September 2024

[edit]
  1. Rick Brook: nominated at AfD; notified Jcb8 (talk · contribs) 12:28, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG. The only RS coverage is run of the mill high school sports coverage in local news outlets. Being " most successful boys basketball coach in the history of Sebring McKinley High School" certainly does not establish notability.
  2. Maurice Starkey: nominated at AfD; notified Marxus (talk · contribs) 17:54, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG. The justification for the creation of the article was that Starkey "was one of the last surviving veterans of WWI" even though he joined 8 months after the war ended. Both references appear to be from his local paper and one is his obituary. I can't find anything when searching for further references except for a clipping of his wife's obit in the same paper.
